New goal

Well I have made a new goal, and I think if I write it on my blog, I will follow through with it.

To update the blog once a week.

I like to go through my posts and just reminisce sometimes, and  I am seeing that there are too long of gaps and I just want to be able to reflect back on these days so...that's my goal.

I think to catch up I will just make this a picture post. There has been a lot that has happened...

The hardest thing that has happened though has been the passing away of my Aunt. She just married my Uncle last August and we will all miss her so much. She was a very kind woman and I know she is in a greater place now.

I felt incredibly honored when I was asked to speak at her funeral and I wanted to share the poem I wrote for her...

We are given this life with earthly minds not knowing our fate,
Our bodies only borrowed to us, they aren’t something we can take.
Sometimes our spirits get to be here long,
But sometimes He needs them sooner, His plan is never wrong.
Her smile illuminated the room as she walked through,
Her presence was always wanted, our love for her only grew.
She wasn’t alone when she arrived in Heaven that day,
Oh how they rejoiced when she came walking their way.
Songs were sung and angels danced,
As they celebrated the reunion that we will one day have.
While we here are left with disbelief and broken hearts,
She is with God, her new calling now imparts.
This isn’t goodbye, it never is when they leave,
It’s just a temporary departure if you can only believe.
The moon will still rise, the sun will continue to shine,
I know it’s hard to think about, but she will be just fine.
So today let us remember her goodness and her grace,
We will need it to endure this life we now face.

I am so grateful for the knowledge I have of His plan and that we will be able to see our loved ones again. I am also so thankful for my Uncle's faith and his strength that inspires me so much.

I will start with Easter pics...

First off, Easter 2007, was the day Josh proposed to me so I thought it would be appropriate to take one of these pics 8 years later...

We have a picture of us on that day somewhere but I can't find it, dang.

Easter morning, I first tried to teach Kanzis of the true meaning of Easter. We sat down and explained to her of Jesus' Resurrection and how one day, we will be able to be resurrected. No, I don't think she understands at all lol but the more we talk about it, one day she will.

After that, Kanzy "searched" for her Easter baskets...

She was ready for the egg hunt

She found lots of eggs too...

It was such a wonderful day!

Oh how I love when this happens

The last few Mondays we have been going to the church to play basketball with some of Josh's family for Family Home Evening. And by we, I mean everyone but me. I get to sit and do the cheerleading! They all get a pretty good workout though. Even Kanzy gets to play a little...

lol she wanted her daddy to suck her thumb too I guess

Getting her build a bear Easter Bunny...and her cousins'...

lol that face

No fear

She loves helping with laundry

Happy Wednesday!

Here's to keeping my goal!
