Christmas Eve started with going to my grandmas for a few hours to visit. I love to visit her and my aunt and her two boys. This is a pic of me with my mom and sisters there!
After we left there, we headed to Josh's aunt's house for his family's annual Christmas Eve party! We had so much fun as always. I hosted a Christmas Family Feud game which was so fun. Then we played our dice game. The kids had a little game too that they got to play while we waited for Santa to come. Josh's aunt is such a wonderful host. Her home is beautiful and she always has it decorated so nice. It was definitely a success!
Kanzis is not a fan of Santa...yet!
Christmas morning came and Josh and I could not wait to wake up the girls. We both woke up at about 5:00 a.m. but figured that was a bit too early for them. So, we went back to sleep for an hour and got them up at 6:00! I could not wait any longer. I love that the spirit of Christmas has not left me. I hope it never does. Kanzis was so excited to open her gifts. Each one she opened, she had a smile on her face, and if they were clothes, she would pull them out and say "cute". It was adorable. My heart was so happy to see how excited she was and how thankful she was. Like every gift to her was like we gave her the moon. What a sweetheart we have! Kamzlin was just happy to be there and loved playing with the wrapping paper.
About 8:30 a.m. we loaded up and headed to my mom's. We were in charge of breakfast. I made a bacon, egg, hash brown casserole in my crockpot. So easy, I just put it in the night before and it was ready to go in the morning and it was delicious! We got to my moms and opened gifts. We were so excited to give my mom her gift. Josh made her a bench for her kitchen table and it turned out awesome! She loved it too.
After that, that we headed to Josh's mom's where the girls got to play with their cousins.
Aren't they just the cutest!!
For Christmas from Josh, I got a new camera which I already love so much. I have been playing with it a lot and I am so excited to take tons of pictures with it.
I loved everything about this this Christmas time and have so much to be thankful for.
A couple days after Christmas, we went to Temple Square to see the Temple lights with Josh's brother and his family. It was so beautiful and I got to practice taking some shots with my new camera!
Wednesday was my mom's birthday, my family and my sisters and their family's showed up to her work flowers in hand, to pick her up and take her to her favorite restaurant, Joe's Crab Shack. She was so surprised.
The ladies at her work all dressed in black and decorated her office to, as my mom put it, "mourn my youth". Lol. It looked awesome!
When I told everyone to look at me, Jake looked away, so my mom came over and made him take one, just with her. Lol.
Jack was here too, he's too cool for pictures, and he was playing in the cool playground anyway.
I love that kid!
I sure have one beautiful mother! Happy Birthday to her!
Yesterday, we took Kanzis outside to play in the snow. She enjoyed it at first, then it was time to come in because she was cold and wanted lunch.
I finished "Kaizen's corner" in our home. I love that I did this and that I get to see it all day everyday.
To end, here are some random pictures...
Oh my heart!
such a cheeser!
I sure love those big blues! I wish the camera would show better how beautiful her eyes are!
I love that she is getting more hair and that she actually lets me try new things.
She loves her bike from grandma DeAnn!
I am looking forward to what 2016 has in store for us. Happy belated new year!
