But she is sleeping right now so I thought I would take advantage and hurry and do a post!
A lot has went on since I last posted...over a month ago! Geez!
I will start from the beginning...
I wasn't able to make it to my little sister Rylee's dance competition, so she gave me my own private showing while at my moms house. She even got in costume and everything.
I tried posting the video but it wouldn't let me, which sucks because she is seriously so good. She did some poses for me though. She won't be dancing anymore, I guess she is choosing to be a basketball star. :) She will rock at that too! I am seriously so proud of this 14 year old whom I still see as my cute little 4 year old baby sister! She is growing up to be such a beautiful young woman!
We went to Josh's families cabin for a little family time which was so fun! We barbecued, played a little badminton, did some four wheeling and just sat and visited. It's times like this that makes this least favorite season of mine bearable. :)
We also went on another fishing trip...
He makes my heart happy! :)
A little over a month ago, I bought a new sewing machine from a little place in Salt Lake called Nuttall's. I love that place. I would recommend buying a machine from them to anyone. I have started doing a lot of sewing lately and the machine I had was just too basic. I got it on a Black Friday a few years back for 50 bucks. It worked great but I just needed something more advanced. So I went in to Nuttall's to look. They were very kind and let me "test drive" whatever machine I desired. It was awesome. I ended up going with the Brother 950D. It can do embroidery, I can do quilting on it, in fact a lady that works there actually did quilting on a king size quilt with a machine this size, which is amazing. Anyway, I won't bore you with irrelevant details, I know you don't all sew lol. But I am in love with it! The really cool thing I must mention was they offered free sewing classes when you purchased a sewing machine. So I signed up, class was on every Thursday for four weeks. I just finished my last class last week. You just brought your machine in and they would teach you things a bunch of stuff using your own. I am sad it is over but I am thankful for those classes, I learned a lot.
My sweet husband and cute little baby would drop me off and hang out in Salt Lake until I was done. About 2 - 3 hours. He is seriously the best. No complaints or anything. Luckily he had errands to run everytime so it worked out great.
One time after class we decided to go to Scheels. I seriously love that place! Maybe even better than Cabela's, and that says a lot becasue I love Cabela's!
She loved the fish!
Trying on life jackets. We didn't end up getting this one but did
get one very similar. :)
On Saturday of Memorial Day weekend we decided to take a fourwheeling trip up Whitney with some of my family, just to see how far we would get... We had a blast!
Some of us got stuck a few times, but with everyone's help we got through. We didn't get all the way but farther than I thought we would.
Yes, we did bring that baby of ours! Her carseat fit perfectly between us in the side by side.
She did awesome! I think its safe to say she loves doing things outdoors. and loves to ride in the side by side. She slept quite a bit too, so that helped lol.
Josh stopped and picked me a flower on the way back. He is so sweet!
Probably cheesy to some, but I love it!
We are leaving for Lake Powell on Sunday after church. We are planning on staying for a week. I am pretty excited. I say pretty because it is suppose to be very very hot, and if you know me, you know how I feel about that. I have got to make sure I keep my baby lathered in sunscreen. and me as well. Kanzy has her life jacket, we got her a little floaty tube thing that I can kind of float with her. It looks like it will be pretty fun. I don't know how she will do with the water, she likes her baths nice and warm so we shall see. This will be her first swimming trip. I will make sure to take lots of pictures to share when we get back.
Kanzis will be turning one in 4 months! I know it seems like so far away, but to me it seems so close! I am starting to plan her birthday party right now. It is going to be a Vintage Theme. I figure I can choose her 1st birthday party theme since she is too little to decide, I have a feeling tinker bell, minnie mouse, and princess themes will be her choosings in the years to come.
I am so excited I can't even stand it. Josh and I went to a few yard sales today here in the valley and got some things that will be perfect...
I seriously am so excited for everything to come together. I know she won't remember any of it. but I will and I just feel so blessed to be able to throw one for my little girl.
Kaizen's headstone was decorated so beautifully for Memorial Day. I sure miss that little boy. I found myself thinking, like I do a lot, what life would be like with him here. How when I looked to the backseat of my car I would see two of the the loves of my life instead of just one. How while sitting watching Kanzis play I would see them playing together, laughing, maybe even fighting lol.
We went out to dinner with my mom, dad, and sisters the other night, we have never had all of us together, either Jake or Jack is missing. As we were sitting there talking about how one day we will have us all together, we realized we never will. At least never in person. He is always with us in our hearts.
It was hard to think about though. I selfishly want him with me. I want him here to kiss. His picture is my background on my phone and kissing his picture goodnight every night is nothing compared to the real thing. I long to hold him, to snuggle him, and to have him here with me.
He sent us such a good little girl though. She is wonderful. Her personality is one of a kind. She is very kind hearted, just like him. She makes this life worth living and I will always thank Kaizen for her!
Here is a few random pictures to end with...
She loves jumpin' on the jumpoline!!
Silly girl!
I think a bowl cut is in her future! Hahaha! Jk...maybe...
Have a happy weekend!!
