Family

Well it's been 2 weeks since my last blog post.....but I have a good excuse.....we were in Coalville for a family visit! Now I thought...I could do a blog post......but I thought I would make better use of my time by actually spending time with our families......the very reason we were there in the first place!
We had a wonderful time visiting and taking Kaizen to see as many people as we could!

The drive was long....we actually split into two days......its about a 12 and 1/2 hour long drive....but with a baby...it makes it a little longer. So we thought it would be easier to drive about 6 one day and 6 the next.......it worked out great!

We first stopped in Wyoming and visited Josh's Dad and his family....we went out to eat and had a nice long visiting session......discussing anything from religion to work and future plans. I absolutely love talking to Josh's dad about our religion.....he is so knowledgeable and you can just feel the spirit around him when he speaks.

After that we made the hour long trip from Wyoming to Coalville. Our families had no idea we were coming.....I was on the phone with my mother when we left Wyoming just to make sure she would be awake.....she totally thought we were still in Montana! So when we arrived at her house at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday night....you could imagine her surprise when she heard a knock on the door, and opened it to find us standing on the porch! She, my dad, and two younger sisters were there and o so happy to see us. It was actually Kassidy's 20th birthday......so we got there just in time to wish her a good one!
To tell Kristina we were in town, my mom thought it would be funny to send a picture of dad holding Kaizen and Josh in the background to her.......o she was confused! It was hilarious.......she called mom and just couldn't believe it! Let's just say.....they all thought it was a good surprise. :)

After we hugged and visited we headed over to Josh's mom's house. We got there at about 10:00 p.m. We got out of the car and headed down the stairs......she said she saw us coming and couldn't believe her eyes! We werent suppose to be coming until about the middle of March. She was so happy to see us! We exchanged hugs and sat and talked and laughed until we all got tired and went to sleep :) A few days later John, Josh's stepdad got home and got to see baby Kaizen for the first time......

The rest of the trip involved visiting our Grandmother's and some of our aunts. Kaizen definitely got a lot of attention!

Kaizen also got the chance to meet his "aunties" aka: my bffs for the first time. I hadn't seen Brittnee, Katie, and Carissa since my baby shower in August so I was so excited to get together with them! It's amazing how life leads you different ways.....on different paths. Becuase I moved so far away, we aren't as close as we once were.....I miss them so much! I miss all of our silly adventures.......our random thoughts.......all of our crazy ways! But after getting together with them, it was like we picked up right where we left off........like we hadn't ever been apart for so long.......none of that mattered! Thats what I love about them.........it doesn't matter how long we have been apart........we can get together and it will feel like we just hung out yesterday!
We went to Olive Garden in Riverdale to eat dinner and catch up and reminisce about anything and everything! Our poor waiter....he didn't know what to think about all of our craziness......we were quite amusing!

                                                                                                       Newly engaged Carissa!!

I can't wait until our next visit!!

I also got to visit my friend Vanessa in Evanston! I love her! She and her two little girls are so beautiful!

Also...... I reccomend the Cheesecake Factory in Salt Lake to anyone.......it is absolutely delish!

It was absolutely wonderful to see our families and although I miss them all already,
I am glad to be back home and back in the routine that we are used to. :)
