I signed Kanzis up for a princess dance camp, it started the 1st day of summer and went for an hour long each day for the week. The first day, she cried and wanted me to stay but by the next day she was so excited to go, as long as she knew I was coming back to get her. Lol. On the final day, parents and other family members came to watch what they had been working on all week. I was a little bummed at first because she didn't do her dance at all with the other girls, she just stood on her mat the whole time. But I learned to be thankful that she at least stayed on the mat! She showed some of her dance to us when we got home so I guess that made up for it. It was such a cute little camp, she came home with a treat and a coloring paper each day and she got to keep her outfit.
After she performed, we went home and finished getting our fifth wheel packed for Josh's family reunion. It was so fun to go "glamping" and be around family.
All of the kids, with the help of their parents, made box cars for the drive in movie we watched as it got darker. We had a blast and they all turned out so cute!
We brought Kanzis' bike so she could ride with her best buddies. She sure loves her cousins.
Let's just say, it was hard keeping them clean.
Josh's aunt took old time photos of all of the families. This was such a good idea, I loved it. Here are some of our family...
We got home from the reunion on Sunday, and that next Tuesday I left to go to girls camp. I have been newly called as the 1st counselor in the Young Women's and I have to say at first I was terrified. But I absolutely love it! I am having so much fun and camp was a blast!!
Hike time!
This picture doesn't really do it justice but the view was amazing!
We had the opportunity to do a service project while we were there. Our goal was to shovel and rake wood chips along this trail. The girls did a wonderful job and worked together so well!
We did a fun obstacle course that required all of us to work together. Because of girls camp, I have developed a love for all of these girls and the other leaders. It was amazing watching them work together and I just feel so thankful to be able to be a part of this program.
We all made it over!
As we were cleaning up our campsite to leave on the last day. I found this rock. It was so interesting that out of all of the campsites, it was in the one that I was at. We called and still call Kaizen "KZ" and I love how the award was "stick with it" because boy did he, and with laughter and a smile on his face the whole time.
"It won't be easy, but it will be worth it."
That was the longest I had been away from the girls. I was so happy to see them!
A few weeks ago, some friends from church invited us to go to Bear Lake. I hadn't been there in years so I was pretty excited to go and take the girls. We all had so much fun!
I am going to end this one with a bunch of random pictures. This summer has been one to beat that is for sure! We have been loving it. And that is saying a lot, because it's my least favorite season, for some reason, the allergies and the bugs decided to back off for this one I guess! That's alright by me!

I love that she lets me try fun things on her hair
Kanzis got her first haircut. A new friend from church did it. I love it so much and so does Kanzis! She sat still so good, I figured she would do alright because she loves when I do her hair.
"fixing the tire" Lol. she cracks me up.
I made this dress for my sister's little girl. Out of a pillowcase...thanks Pinterest.
While we are on things I have made...
My nephew had his 7th birthday this last Friday and we celebrated with him on Saturday. My sister recently moved into a new home and his new room had a camouflage curtain in it so Jack decided he wanted to decorate his room in camo. I asked my sister if I could make him a quilt and pillowcase and she was all for it.
This was my first quilt I have ever made, or at least finished. I could not wait to give it to him!
This kid is the most appreciative little boy I have ever met in my life! He had me in tears just by his demeanor and how he carefully examined each gift and made sure the person who gave it to him knew and heard him say thank you. He didn't quickly open and move on to the next, he showed thankfulness for everything he received. When he opened the quilt, he came and gave me the biggest hug. He made every single stitch worth all and more of the time I put into it. I love him so much and I am so very blessed to be his aunt. I am so thankful for his birth 7 years ago. He has brought so much joy into our family. His future wife is going to be the luckiest woman on the planet because of how much compassion and love he carries in his heart. My sister is an amazing mother to raise such a valued prize. I ask her all of the time how she does it. I only hope that my children will show as much appreciation as he does.
I think that catches us up for now. Some more summer plans include more Bear Lake, the Pentz family reunion, more park fun, derby, fairs, and hopefully even more.
Life is good. :)
